Rachel Jordan Brown is an actor, storyteller, and performance artist with a passion for emotionally rich and thought-provoking narratives. With extensive experience in theater, film, and immersive productions, she brings depth and nuance to every role, from classical works to contemporary explorations.
Rachel's theater credits include Marian in Sherwood, Anne in The Father, Dr. Livesy in Treasure Island, and #14 in The Wolves (SBCC), among many others. She has worked with renowned companies such as International WOW Co., Theater at Monmouth, and 59E59. On screen, she has starred in Broken Tides, Make a Change, and Kate So Far.
Beyond acting, Rachel has performed as burlesque artist Sapphire Jones since 2008, gracing stages across the U.S. and Canada, including City Winery locations and Bathtub Gin. She was a regular emcee from 2015–2020, blending theatricality with a commanding stage presence.
A dedicated artist-scholar, Rachel is currently pursuing an MFA in Theater/Acting at Randolph College. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and has trained with esteemed instructors including Cher Ferreyra, Charles Goforth, and Charles Pasternak. Her additional studies in movement, mask work, and classical acting inform her dynamic and versatile performances.
